Closed Cell PE & EVA Foams

Polyethylene (PE) and Ethyl Vinyl Acetate (EVA) are closed cell, chemically cross linked, (and non-cross linked) foams, made from polyethylene or ethyl vinyl acetate copolymers. They are made in block (bun) form, or extruded. They are available in a range of densities (molecular weights) and hardnesses.

PE's and EVA's tend to be good thermal insulators, excellent shock absorbing materials, and resistant to attack from chemicals and fuel based products. Their closed cell structure makes them impervious to water.

They are used in applications such as spa covers, camping mats, yoga blocks, boat fenders and high impact seating requiring a water proof product.
