PE & EVA Sheets

Closed cell foams are available in a range of densities and molecular weights ranging from 25kg/m3 to over 100kg/m3. As a rule of thumb, the higher the density, the higher the hardness.

For most purposes a PE/EVA combination product of around 30kg/m3 is used. It is supplied in sheet form at the thicknesses shown below. Sheet sizes are 2000 x 1000mm.

PE's and EVA's tend to be good thermal insulators, excellent shock absorbing materials, and resistant to attack from chemicals and fuel based products. Their closed cell structure makes them impervious to water. They are used in applications such as spa covers, camping mats, yoga blocks, boat fenders and high impact seating requiring a water proof product.
