It is very light-weight, with comparatively high compressive strength, making it a versatile choice for many applications.
It also has the advantage of being relatively inexpensive.
It is widely used for thermal insulation, in wall, roof and sub floor areas. In buildings it is also used for ceiling panels and decorative surfaces, such as cornices and arches.
Polystyrene is also widely used by the construction industry for concrete block outs, (voids). Blockouts can be cut to any size and shape, including complex profiles, all cut on our advanced CNC equipment.
Polystyrene boxes and eskys too, are widely used in the vegetable, seafood and food industries, to keep products cold during transport.
