Foam Sales' Acoustic Foam Tiles can be used in any application where improved sound quality is required. They are suited for use at home, in theatres and auditoriums, and in sound recording studios.
Foam Tiles are particularly beneficial in trapping the squeak and harshness of high pitched sound. By interfering with sound wave direction, and by trapping and absorbing sound energy, foam tiles help to remove high frequency background noise, and increase sound clarity, resulting in softer and clearer sound.
Foam tiles are most beneficial in removing the short wavelength, higher pitched (high frequency) sounds. For rooms where long wavelength, deep sounds also need to be removed add some bass corner traps.
For best results it is sometimes necessary to vary the orientation of tiles within a room to ensure variability of direction of the sound wave reflection.
A convoluted foam profile is also available in foam tiles, and in larger sheets as well.
Two profiled patterns are available, a four sided pyramid pattern, and a pattern of slightly domed squares. Each profile is available in packs of 10, 20, and 50 tiles. Tiles are 500x500x50mm. The two large images here each show how two tiles appear side by side.
