Foam Sales NBR roll with aluminium foil face is a flexible, elastomeric product used for thermal and sound insulation. The product is black in colour and is available with or without a sticky back adhesive on the reverse side.
This NBR product is softer than similar PE and EVA products, and has less rebound. This characteristic allows for it to be bent around tight curves and to be easily manipulated into the required shape.
NBR is a copolymer manufactured from acrylonitrile and butadiene that provides good resistance to mineral oils and greases, fuels like petrol and diesel, and animal and vegetable oils and fats. It is also resistant to alcohol and weak acids. It is attacked by ozones, ketones, esters and aldehydes.
The operating temperature range of Foam Sales' nitrile rubber is –40 to +100 °C (–40 to +210 °F). The product is self-extinguishing when removed from the flame source.
The expanded closed-cell structure of this NBR sheet makes it both an efficient thermal and sound insulation material, ideal for lining machine boxes and cabinets, and also pipes, duct-work, vessels, and curved and irregular surfaces.
This NBR is sold off the roll by the linear metre, or in full rolls at 20% discount.
1000mm (W) x 19mm, (10 metre roll)
