Mattress Elevator Bed Wedge

The Mattress Elevator Bed Wedge is designed to tilt your mattress, raising your head at a gentle slope down to the foot end of your bed. The wedge is designed to fit under the mattress, sitting on top of the ensemble base. This firm wedge supports your mattress across its full width and length, providing excellent stability for your chosen sleeping surface. Fitted under your spring mattress, this firm foam wedge will not dip or compress, even under heavy loads.

With a gentle incline of 4.6 degrees, this range of wedges is recommended to relieve suffering from acid reflux, GERD, heartburn, snoring or breathing problems whilst sleeping. These wedges will remain effective over many years of regular use.

Your choice of elevating wedge from this range will allow you to sleep on your chosen mattress surface and in your favourite positions, as usual. Though made from a firm foam, it is also of suitable quality to be placed on top of the mattress and to be slept on directly if preferred. This option is likely, for most users, to require a soft foam overlay / topper to soften the feel of the firm foam wedge surface.

For ease of handling and flexibility of use the double, queen and king size wedges are supplied in 2 pieces. Each is available separately covered, or as raw foam only as shown. Covers are sewn in knitted mattress fabrics in patterns available at the time we make them. Covers are zipped around three sides and so are easily removable for washing as required.

Elevator Bed Wedge dimensions are shown here. Please note that the height at the high end of each is 180mm running down to 20mm at the foot end.

Before buying, please consider this.

The most suitable height for a bed wedge is a very personal thing. The height of our bed wedge is 180mm (or 18cm or 7”). To make sure this will suit your requirements, can we suggest you try the following if possible. If you have a bed with four legs, try putting blocks of approximately 180mm under the two legs at the pillow end. Then try sleeping on your bed for a few nights and see if that is comfortable. If so, then please place your order and we will make it happen for you.

All of the above wedges have an angle of slope of 4.6 degrees. In situations where a steeper incline is required check our shorter and steeper Reflux Bed Wedge

These Mattress Elevator wedges will give many years of comfort and relief, and are fully guaranteed for three years.

Very good

Bought this for a queen size bed and it has been excellent with my reflux reduced dramatically. My partner and I find it quite comfortable to sleep on too with the angle not too steep in our opinion. Keep in mind, 180mm is quite tall but an unexpected bonus of that is the angle and elevation is now perfect for lying in bed watching TV.

Hi Tommo, we are pleased to hear that the wedge is working for you. Thank you for your feedback. SB

Michelle K. (Brisbane, AU)

Has markedly improved my reflux, reducing the amount of medication that I was having to take. Instead of dreading bedtime, I actually now look forward to getting a good nights sleep and waking up without a hoarse voice from acid reflux. The angle takes a little getting used to, but as a side sleeper I didn't want to purchase those half wedges and be uncomfortable. Wedges were well packed and arrived as per tracking advice.

We are pleased to hear that this wedge is working for you Michelle, and appreciate your helpful feedback too. Thank you Michelle, and may you have good sleeping long into the future. SB

Overall Improvement

A little effort to get wedges in place. Reflux has reduced. No direct feedback on apnea / snoring (am alone), but no dry mouth in the morning so infer (nose) breathing better when asleep. Bed has obvious incline seen during the day. When sleeping bedroom is completely dark. Not aware of incline when in bed (no visual reference?). Don't slide down the bed but sometimes the bed linen does.

Thanks for your detailed feedback Christopher. That should be very helpful for others in the future. Best wishes

Kevin O. (Hobart, AU)
Great Result

After using it for a couple of nights our reflux problems diminished markedly and sleep is less disturbed. We couldn't use the brick under the bed head option because of the style of our bed but this has been a very effective alternative.

We are pleased to hear that the wedge is helping Kevin. Thank you for your Review. SB

Pat A. (Sydney, AU)

I Think this is way to steep. My wife and i keep slipping down the bed and blankets keep coming off. There should be some other sizes available
and the extra cost to get a smaller height was a bit to expensive but in hindsight i wish i did do it
180mm is way to High

Hi Pat,
thanks for your review and feedback. We try very hard to make sure our customers are fully informed of the sizes (particularly the height) of our mattress bed wedges. That's why we state them very clearly on our website.
We have done a lot of testing including customer feedback and this size was the best generally accepted height. As you are on the east coast and we are in Perth, can I suggest you find a local cutter to trim it down to size. I'm sure this will be much cheaper than the freight forward and back to us. Rgds, GH
